Latest Updates from Our Project:

#37: More Goals Unlocked and Close / Paypal payment now available
over 8 years ago – Fri, Dec 11, 2015 at 07:14:10 PM

Social Goal #6 unlocked: A map with 2 scenarios

More maps are always better, right? More adventures... more variety... more of what you want! We will now include the Sacrificial Chamber map in every box, with scenarios integrated into the main campaign. It will introduce one of the most tainted cult locations, along with a few new and nasty surprises.

And now we can reveal Social goal #7 which is nothing less than:

  • One more victim art piece by Jamie Noble, featured on a victim card (both sizes)
  • Additional poses for the Acolyte miniatures. There will three different sets of arms produced, allowing the factory to create different configurations.
  • And to top it all off, as we really want to reach this, we’ll promise to make the 19”x19” map templates (as downloadable Photoshop files) available for any interested cartographers for anyone with at least 79 USD tier.

Stretch Goal #2 crushed - Shaman within reach

You did it! Now we’ll be all enjoying the great visual upgrade for the Response cards provided by none other than Jamie Noble. Now, let’s push for the Shaman! We all know that he’s certainly within reach.

Funding, Pledge Manager, Paypal and Stretch Goals

There have been loads of questions about people wanting to put more towards SG’s but due to our unfortunate timing, couldn’t contribute exactly now. Worry not, we’ve got you covered. Since Kickstarter takes two weeks to release funds to us, we built that delay into the funding requirements. We also need to allow backers that aren’t able to use Kickstarter to get in on the action, but we couldn’t open up that option until we were well funded.

So, for two weeks after the campaign (until Dec 25, 2015 8:00pm UTC), we will be accepting funds via payments through Paypal THAT WE CAN COUNT TOWARDS STRETCH GOALS. Why Paypal? There are places where payment via Kickstarter won’t go through. We also need to accommodate people without credit cards so everyone can take part.

We will keep you updated via backer update WEEKLY on the progress toward next SGs. Please note that BackerKit won’t charge you, or give us the any money from upgrades or new orders until autumn 2016, which is far too late for us to use to produce the game. This is why we can’t count BackerKit income toward the stretch goals.

But since Paypal funds are instant, it allows us to actually use those funds to procure production commitments.

All Paypal payments should be sent to: [email protected] and should be either EURO or USD. When paying, make sure to send email with a detailed list of what you are pledging for to [email protected]. Then we can manually add your order and details into BackerKit.

Co-incidentally, Dec 25th is the date when we will send you surveys via BackerKit and then you’ll have six weeks to complete the surveys.

We will add this information to FAQ.

#38: Thanks - we've made it!
over 8 years ago – Fri, Dec 11, 2015 at 05:33:41 PM

In spring of 2011 if I’d have known the path that it took to make Perdition’s Mouth reality I could have faltered. But, today, when we’ve together made this amazing journey, I can’t say that I regret the efforts, the money and time spent nor anything else.

Thank you, our amazing backers. We’ve got 669 people our team feels eternal gratitude for and even after 666 backers gates of Hell didn't open.

I’d like to thank also everyone in our team, but especially:

  • Dan, for covering me when ever I was on bad spot or had to sleep some
  • Thomas, for being the voice of reason and solid backup when ever that was needed Kevin, for genuine support and ingenious (devious) ideas
  • Jamie, for art, support and positive drive Scott, for setting up DDP@USA and so many edited documents
  • Ruyman, for the script, video, website and so much
  • Jalmari, for being best sidekick a man can hope for :) You rock!
  • Ukko, for diligently doing social networks that luddites like me just wouldn’t and awesome painted demon
  • Matthias, for gorgeous Treasure art
  • Jere, for over two years of graphics design
  • Tanja, for amazing dungeons which developed so much over the span of four years (no, we will not show you the early versions)
  • Byron, for the best blog coverage
  • Chris, for masterfully sculpted miniatures
  • Ben, for the absolutely mind numbing offer and support. We’ll all love the painting guide already.
  • Kai, for excellent articles & help on social networks
  • Jemina, for amazing painting of our show miniature
  • Markku, for gazillion of graphics at the odd hours

...and for all of the the others. You know who I mean. During these many years it’s been almost a hundred persons involved in the process through out the world.

But most of all;

  • my wife Tiinaliisa, who supported me through the rocky path

and even more

  • my son, Väinö, who was brave test player when one was needed, a good help for home things when project took my time and I needed someone to cover.

Thank you. We’ll have the pre-order store set up within the weekend, we’ll keep you posted on weekly basis until the game is in manufacturing.

We’d like to also remind you what we told you about still reaching Stretch Goals, Paypal payments and such. Do read Update #37. It’s important.

#35: Jalmari's surprise - take 1
over 8 years ago – Thu, Dec 10, 2015 at 10:55:58 PM

BackerKit Schedule

Okay, a lot of you have asked details about BackerKit surveys. We'll send those around New Year and expect that you'll have approximately 6 weeks to fill all details. Exact schedules will depend much on our production schedules.

Contents of box

Okay, now that our secret list is out, maybe we'll share it with all. This google doc kept as up-to-date as anyone in the PM team can manage.

We have also updated the content graphics to include the goals and challenges that you’ve unlocked so far, as well as highlighted some features. Take a look at the project page.

Jalmari’s Big Surprise

Jalmari has been working in secrecy for long hours. He has stopped eating and not even posted very many dirty things in BGG. What could he have been doing?

He has converted all of our materials in rather high resolution to Tabletop Simulator (TTS) which is PC/MAC software, allowing very nice group play over the internet and to demonstrate something very cool, but technical problems have caused a delay. We'll be wiser in the morning I've been told.

Stretch goal #1 Unlocked and a New Challenge! (a quick update)
over 8 years ago – Thu, Dec 10, 2015 at 10:52:57 PM

Tharnix was hungry - but now it’s the hunted one

A Tharnix in every box! What better present for the heroes?

That is great progress, and as we enter the final 12 hours, we strive for more stretch goals. Next is the Response deck art upgrade by Jamie Noble - you know that would be a real treat! Also include will be a bonus scenario by a visiting designer.

Your Plea for Aid is Heard … but by who?

Yesterday’s thrilling success gave us a taste for excitement, and the only thing better would be an even bigger challenge for an even bigger thrill.

You’ve been clamoring for the enigmatic Mad Shaman, Mogba’gh, and he’s heard your cries for aid. If you once again check the Stretch Goal list, you will see that he has quit his former lair and come to meet the challenge with you!

You have about 12 hours to reach $82,500 and unlock this bonus hero for the Kickstarter Exclusive box (that’s the $99 and the $160 tiers, or any higher tier that includes the Exclusive Edition).

Since Mogba’gh had to leave in a hurry, he won’t be bringing any maps or scenarios with him. We made a special deal with Panda, our amazing miniatures manufacturer, to include him if we reach this level of funding, so you’ll be getting a full additional hero, with his miniature, custom deck of hero cards, shield pegs, etc.

For retail box backers, he will be available as an add-on in the pledge manager, and might be bundled with other extras one day. The add-on price after the campaign will be $20.

As always, questions are welcome!

#34: Funded!
over 8 years ago – Thu, Dec 10, 2015 at 10:50:04 PM

Okay, it’s been a rockier road than I ever anticipated, but there’s also been much more support and love from our backers than I could have ever imagined. You rock!

We’ve made it, and now it’s time to set our sights on those stretch goals.

Winning the <24h competition

Congratulations! We knew you could rise to the challenge and break the initial funding goal with a full day to spare. And you know what this means… an expanded campaign with a bonus map and two new scenarios in every box!

And don't forget. With a little bit of extra effort, social goals AND stretch goals are completely within reach. We have 24h and 15 minutes. Let's make every second count.

And this sure means that we'll get Update #35 later today with Jalmari's surprise as it's not yet ready.
