Latest Updates from Our Project:

Next game set in same world -- and Soul Spire schedule
over 3 years ago – Sat, Oct 10, 2020 at 05:03:29 PM

Dear DDP Games fans,

We have exciting news in this unpredictable year with no normal conventions. Obviously, we were all excited to meet you in Essen Spiel, for our 13th time, but be it unlucky 13 or what, there is no Spiel in any traditional sense this year.

However, Spiel.Digital is taking place and we will try our very best to show you some of the new coolness. That same coolness we so wanted to show in person.

To better serve you, do note that we have updated our website (finally) to provide all the news, updates, rulebooks and information you might need. We have an active Discord channel from where you’ll get replies to any problems typically right away. Check the discord using this link:

This year’s big novelty for Zanziar, the world of Perdition’s Mouth, isDwarf, which is out now and available globally (except Australia where we can’t ship anything at the moment due to lockdown). Dwarf is on Autumn Discount until the end of October, so get your copy now from the renewed Dragondawnstore.

And we have our brand new creation, Factory 42, previewers seemed to like and find unique aspects, like;

And it is in Kickstarter right now. Check it out - we are positive that you'll find the novel boutique game in a similar way as original Perdition's Mouth was from Factory 42.

Soul Spire News

We are keenly aware that you have been anticipating Perdition’s Mouth: Soul Spire’s release. Soul Spire will be the last part of the Perdition’s Mouth Saga and we want to leave a lasting legacy. It will provide three playable factions, two new heroes for each faction and the same gritty game system tuning to create more variety in the mission goals.

We would love to have been able to launch Soul Spire within 2020, but this year has shown how fragile global logistics currently is. Making prototypes has never been more difficult than this year, as country after country has been in lockdown or logistics shut down. Obviously, we needed to make our own COVID adjustments, so we concentrated on testing the materials we had access to and making the components ready for production and we are now approaching a situation which we have never seen with Perdition’s Mouth….
We have final versions of almost all artwork before the campaign begins!

But… yeah, there’s always a catch… It comes at a price:
It is painstakingly slow to develop such a huge project in current circumstances. We have no means for our team to meet each other, nor the usual game testers and the production of any demo kits is haltingly slow. Thus, with heavy hearts, we have made the reluctant decision that we need to postpone the Soul Spire Kickstarter to Spring of 2021 when the situation will hopefully be more clear.  At least the current circumstantial slow-down will have given us the opportunity to provide you with the quality of product that you deserve.

And of course, we hope you’ll spend a moment to just chat - like you would do at Spiel if it were physically taking place.

Stay safe and play board games!

Cultists Were Defeated, What Next?
over 5 years ago – Tue, Aug 14, 2018 at 10:44:44 AM

Perdition’s Mouth: Abyssal Rift is being played for some time already, and more and more playing groups are reaching the final level. On Dragon Dawn Production side the production of the Revised Edition of the game is successfully moving forward towards its release so even more people will be able to mop-up pure evil from the world of Zanziar.

This means, that both we in DDP and the victorious demon beating parties have the same question: what next? As for us, there are many of the “next”. We are working on Singularity Sky - the evolution of our past game Phantom league transformed into a universe of a book of the same name (written by Charles Stross), card game Dwarf and Soul Spire - significant expansion of Perdition’s Mouth. And the last title is something, that might be really interesting for you if you finished or nearly finished the campaign.

Sad moment for cultists. Their god is dead.
Sad moment for cultists. Their god is dead.

Let me disclose a piece of internal communication about Soul Spire, that led me to write this update:

Timo: main Soul Spire document:
“...the assumption is that in the beginning you must have Simma+Guide+4 other Heroes to choose from. If those are not alive, you’ll need to resurrect the ones you like. But I think that in that case you should lose the “level up” cards that I did for those Heroes. Thi....”

Me in the comments:
“This requires heroes to be in the "big campaign" mode of PM:AR.

We should expect many groups starting with PM:SS. Even people, that finish AR will probably have their decks disbanded by the time SS is released. And those will definitely regret they have some interesting cards they can not use.

Our internal discussion continues as we turn every idea upside down before we use it, but this is not that important. What I would like to say to you: after you finish the last scenario in your campaign, do save your game the same way how you did that between the missions and in addition to that, record your decks and items of both fallen and living heroes, so you can decommission your deck for another run through or single scenarios, but are still ready for the next installment!

The way how the transition to the new installment will be done is not clear at the moment (I most like the one, where in an additional prequel scenario surviving heroes return to AR with a rod of resurrection to collect remains of their fallen comrades and bring them to life). There is a long way from good ideas to a good game. But if you win (or won) the campaign, be advised, that there will be a way how to resurrect and heal your heroes. As always in PM, not for free, but even if you lose most of your party while killing the demon, it will be better for you to “continue” the campaign in Soul Spire than just start a new one.

Perdition's Mouth: Revised Edition has launched!
over 6 years ago – Sat, Oct 21, 2017 at 10:59:21 AM

Dear Backers,

It's been pretty exactly two years since the 1st edition. We have since then seen that Perdition's Mouth did live through the expectations and sold out the first print run.

We've also gathered a lot of feedback on how to fine tune the game for even smoother. We've just launched the Revised Edition, that intends to bring in all of your feedback, the 7th base hero that we just didn't reach last time and much more. We have also thought all of you: We have an "Upgrade Kit" pledge level which turns your 1st edition to Revised Edition copy.

Join us in Revised Edition campaign!

Traitor Guard Kickstarter live preview
over 6 years ago – Fri, Jul 07, 2017 at 12:30:09 PM

Dear Backers,

We're readying our next kickstarter, which is set to launch on Sunday the 9th July at 7PM EET, which is only mere two days from now.

Our new project is almost ready, but we'd appreciate hearing your feedback of it. We've learned to value highly finding of problems BEFORE the launch --  last time it would have saved from quite an ordeal if more feedback would have been gathered prior to the launch.

Without further explanations, please study the PM:TG site - and provide feedback either using the inbuilt Kickstarter system or if you prefer, you can always send email directly to us.

... and of course we would be more than delighted if you'd spread the message.

Many thanks!
